MotiverandeTankeväckandeSorgligMarissa Marr wants to write about women who struggle with being a female, social stigma, cultural and social rules and about how you as woman are in the risk of abuse. And I think she knows what she is doing, and she is succeeding. This book tells about how bad things happen, without you attracting them, but just because you happen to be there. And as consequence, you fight for your sanity, try to cope, and you also usually are more prone to get into situations that repeat the abuse in some way. I think this book is inspiring and gives hope of managing difficult experiences. I would have given five stars, but Iriel was also featured in no 1 of this series, and I am not giving any spoilers, but one sentence about Iriel repeated a few times disturbed me. Well, I don’t know if I would have been so forgiving as Leslie was, but I am giving my opinion about the story, and how the author wrote it, this is not opinions about certain characters in the book.
