No lengthy stat passages, no annoying sidequests or companions. A relatable MC and good action, story and violence from the first minute on. 5/5.

This book isn't bad but leaves much to be desired, Wolfe Locke specializes in Tower climber and apocalypse LitRPGs, and he does it better than many of the small indie authors out there, a very minimalistic system and character information, almost no blueboxes or long system messages. To be honest, if it's the LitRPG element of this book that is appealing, you're probably not going to rate it that high. The narrator is the one that saves this book from being a complete generic template of a tower climbing story. Some spoilers:.. The book never leaves the first floor. The protagonist is basically immortal for no reason, and the stats and abilities are inconsequential to the fights. The MC does the opposite as what he says he is going to do, and every fight is won by "smart" obvious tricks. Each monster is described as incredibly strong and big, but then the MC is described as man handling them like babies, despite his crap stats. Some of the book also feels very AI generated.
