An intriguing mystery with really interesting characters, and firmly set in the post WWII Britain. This whodunnit should be part of the history curriculum, as it covers the post war situation so well: demobbed young people and those who staid at home, the rationing, queuing for food, the increased taxation - as a backdrop to an interesting mystery.
