An impressively woven intrigue ranging from the everyday situation of going to the dentist to international intrigue and high finance. As a Agatha Christie fan I have always found her work set against an international intrigue/ world revolution setting to be the least enjoyable. Perhaps the concept just wasn’t her forte - or perhaps the concepts she works with have been too outdated? Yet in this story, with the strong connection to the everyday events, the concoction becomes palatable. Interesting characters and heaps of period features. Very nicely read!
