An absolute full body experience to say the least. Powerfully funny and all inclusive read.Not having experienced Penny Reid’s writing is a clear violation of your human lady-rights. I recently revisited this goodie-bag of yarn-loving fun and craziness, only to realise it’s absolute power of dominance in the world of “lady-books”. BTW this book is SO much more than that. Ms. PR herself declares it a “Philosophical Romance”, I’d like to call it a “Romcom-dramedy” i.e. Stick one of your most well loved romcom reads, one heart wrenching yet life affirming novel and a knitting manual in a blender, add the best moments from your all time sci-fi favourites, some wine and 90’s boy band mixtape. Blend until done. Et voilà. So toss what ever book you’re reading to the side (or just hit that ✖️ and shut it DOWN), and start the first chapter of “ Beauty and The Moustache “ and discover The world according to Penny Reid (keep the vibe going with Knitting in the City, The Winstons.

Jag blev bekant med Penny Reid genom Winston Brothers, så började kronologiskt i fel ände. Men det här blev ett kärt återseende med Winston-familjen. Kan verkligen rekommendera Penny Reids böcker generellt. Välskriven,rolig, hjärteknipande romance med en gnutta ”spice”.

Älskar hur varje bok i denna serie visar hur mångsidig denna författare är för ingen av historierna är den andra sig lik och alla referenser till poeter och deras verk skapar ett djup och boken känns så välarbetad/välskriven.

This is a gem of a book. The main themes are love, loss and homecoming. It's poetic at times, funny, romantic and sad. I love the MC's, I love the Winston brothers and the introduction of Green Valley. The narrator is a delight. I highly recommend it.
