In the Vietnam War, many drafted teenagers were sent half-way around the world to fight in a foreign country in an unpopular war. When reaching their units out in the dense jungle and mountains, they soon realize that they must learn the ropes quickly if they hoped to survive. War is hell and the new recruits soon agree that nothing in life had prepared them for the physical, mental and emotional stresses they'd face. If these young men survived a year-long tour, they'll surely return home far different than the boy who left. This is one such story of that Rite of Passage.
